My Top 3 Tips for Thrifting at Indy Clover

If you’re anything like me, thrifting is part treasure hunt, part therapy, and Indy Clover is one of the best places to get your fix of both. With new sellers setting up their booths every Saturday, the inventory is always changing and Indy Clover is full of gems waiting to be discovered. Whether it’s your first time thrifting at Indy Clover or you’re a regular, here are my top 3 tips to help you shop like a pro:

1. Check High and Low (Literally!)
At Indy Clover, the best finds aren’t always at eye level. Each booth has one shelf above the clothing rack and two below. You’d be surprised what treasures I’ve found there. Think folded pants, shorts, and athleticwear, plus non-clothing items like books, skincare, trinkets, and even home decor. Some of my favorite Lucky Finds were found tucked away on one of the shelves, so don’t skip them!

2. Read the Seller Signs
Every booth has a “seller sign” where the person renting the booth can share what kinds of items you can expect to find, such as brands, sizes, and styles. This is a helpful shortcut if you're shopping with something specific in mind, like plus-size denim or Y2K streetwear. Let the signs guide you so you can maximize your time and zero in on the booths that match your vibe.

3. Hunt for the Gold Tags
A fun element to shopping at Indy Clover is searching for the Gold Tag item in each booth. Sellers are allowed to choose one item in their booth to label with a gold tag, and this piece is worth a second look. It might be their favorite item, the best deal, a rare vintage score, or something that’s gotten a lot of attention. It’s basically a treasure map within a treasure hunt.
